Este artigo examina, nunha perspectiva contrastiva, as denominacións existentes para catro conceptos do campo semántico da gandaría nas redes do Atlas Lingüístico Galego (ALGa) e do Atlas Linguístico-Etnográfico de Portugal e da Galiza (ALEPG), co obxectivo de determinar a presenza de áreas lexicais comúns a Galicia e Portugal e analizar a súa distribución, prestando especial atención ó papel da fronteira política na circulación das palabras. En total, obtéñense 1602 respostas, que se poden agrupar en 167 procedementos designativos distintos, dos cales apenas 30 están presentes nos dous territorios. Porén, de termos en conta a vitalidade dos citados procedementos, constatamos que o 78% das 880 respostas galegas tiña un equivalente en Portugal, mentres que o 56% das 722 respostas portuguesas estaban tamén en territorio galego. Os nove mapas dispoñibles no artigo amosan a diversidade de tipos de área dialectal: existen tanto designacións presentes nun territorio continuo en Galicia e Portugal coma áreas que deteñen a súa expansión na zona de fronteira. Palabras clave: Dialectoloxía, xeografía lingüística, léxico, áreas lexicais, gandaría, atlas, Atlas Lingüístico Galego, Atlas Linguístico-Etnográfico de Portugal e da Galiza.

This article examines, employing a contrastive perspective, the existent denominations for four concepts from the semantic field of the cattle within the Atlas Lingüístico Galego (ALGa) and the Atlas Linguístico-Etnográfico de Portugal e da Galiza (ALEPG). Its objective is to determine the existence of lexical areas common to Galicia and Portugal and to analyze their distribution, paying special attention at the role the political frontier plays in the circulation of words. In total, 1602 answers can be found, and they can be grouped in 167 different designative procedures, from which only 30 are present in both territories. However, if we consider the vitality of the aforementioned procedures, we note that 78% of the 880 answers from Galicia had an equivalent in Portugal, while 56% of the 722 Portuguese answers were also present in the Galician territory. The nine maps available in this article show the diversity of the types of dialectal areas: there are designations present in a continuous territory in Galicia and in Portugal, as well as areas that detain their extension in the border zone.
