En  este  artículo  se  confrontan  diversos  aspectos  y  casos  de  léxico  que  trasciende  las  dos  grandes fronteras romances peninsulares: (1) la del bloque gallego-portugués com respecto al asturleonés y el castellano  y  (2)  la  del  catalán  con  el  (alto)aragonés  y  el  castellano. En  ambas  fronteras,  se  observan paralelos  diversos:  entre  occidentalismos  y  orientalismos,  en  casos  de  problemática  filiación  a  las distintas  variedades  occidentales  u  orientales,  en  dialectalismos  compartidos  a  ambos  lados  de  la frontera y propagaciones léxicas transfronterizas. En la frontera hispano-lusa, el análisis de las palabras portuguesas  recogidas  al  otro  lado  de  la  raya,  de  los  castellanismos  documentados  en  el  este  de Portugal y de las voces que no son normativas ni en portugués ni en castellano, pero que se conservan en territorio de los dos países, permite la determinación de áreas transnacionales que todavía son poco conocidas.  En  cuanto  a  los  catalanismos  o  valencianismos  de  frontera,  abundan  las  formas  de fisonomía  extraña  al  castellano,  especialmente  por  lo  que  respecta  a  consonantes  finales  ajenas  a  esta lengua,  y  ello  constituye  una  de  las  diferencias  más  relevantes  con  respecto  a  los  préstamos transfronterizos de la raya occidental. This article compares various aspects and instances of lexis used on either side of the two great Peninsular Romance frontiers: (1) the one separating the Galician-Portuguese block from Astur-Leonese and Castilian, and (2) the one dividing Catalan from (Upper) Aragonese and Castilian. In both of these border regions there are a number of parallels regarding problems of affiliation of dialectal forms shared by both sides of the frontier to eastern and western varieties, and concerning the cross-border spread of lexical items. On the Hispano-Portuguese border, analysis of the Portuguese words also recorded on the other side, the Castilianisms documented in eastern Portugal, and the words which are not considered normative either in Portuguese or Castilian, but are in use in both territories, allows us to establish the existence of still little known transnational areas. As far as the transitional Catalanisms and Valencianisms are concerned, there are numerous forms which are extraneous to Castilian, especially with regard to final consonants not found in the national langge, and this is one of the most important differences compared to the cross-border borrowings in the western frontier region. Key words: Lexis.
