El siguiente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar el nivel de influencia de la lengua oficial en hablantes de Valverde del Fresno, una de las tres localidades donde se emplea la modalidad lingüística conocida como Fala, valego o xalimego. Para ello, se ha elaborado un cuestionario sobre un campo léxico que incluye tareas del campo vivas en la actualidad pero con un vocabulario conservador. De este modo, se procuró que los informantes fuesen hombres y mujeres representantes de tres franjas etarias (juventud, adultez y tercera edad). Las respuestas obtenidas muestran una sustitución del léxico autóctono, especialmente entre los jóvenes. En cualquier caso, parece que la modalidad del entorno prima sobre otros influjos, hecho que prueba su actual vitalidad. The aim of this paper is to analyze the level of influence the official language has on the speakers of Valverde del Fresno, one of the three towns that uses the linguistic modality known as Fala, valego, or xalimego. In order to do that, a questionnaire regarding the lexical field of modern-day farming activities with a conservative vocabulary has been created. The informants are men and women belonging to three age brackets (youth, adulthood, and elderly people). The answers obtained show a substitution of the local lexis, especially among the young informants. It appears that the linguistic modality of the environment has a priority over other linguistic influxes, a fact which demonstrates its current vitality.
