La red de fortificaciones abaluartadas que se conserva en toda la raya hispano-portuguesa constituye un patrimonio histórico singular, testimonio excepcional de un periodo significativo de la historia humana que va desde mediados del siglo XVII hasta principios el XIX, fundamentalmente, y es digno de obtener la calificación de “Sitio Cultural Patrimonio de la Humanidad”. Tomar conciencia de ello y sistematizar las actuaciones conducentes a lograrlo y mantenerlo es una actuación en marcha en la que todos nos debemos implicar. The bastioned network of fortifications that remains all along the Spanish-Portuguese borde, is a unique historical heritage, an outstanding testimony of a significant period of human history, from the mid seventeenth century until the early nineteenth century, fundamentally, and it deserves getting the quantification of “Cultural Heritage Site of Humanity”. Being aware of this and systemizing the actions leading to achieve and maintain it, it is something all of us should be concerned about and involved in.
